Resolved Known Issues

Arc Crashes when Changing the Icon of a Space or Tab

Changing the icon of a Space or Tab will cause Arc to crash while running on the macOS Sonoma.

This issue has been resolved in Arc v.1.9.1. Please update Arc to resolve this issue.

Swiping Between Spaces Does Not Work when the Sidebar is Hidden

Two finger swiping between Spaces with a MacBook trackpad does not work when the Sidebar is hidden (โŒ˜-S) when Arc is running on the macOS Sonoma.

This issue has been resolved in Arc v.1.9.1. Please update Arc to resolve this issue.

Cannot Click on Library Items (Downloads, Archive, Notes & Easels etc)

Clicking on items in the Library does not work as expected while running Arc on the macOS Sonoma.

This issue has been resolved in Arc v.1.9.1. Please update Arc to resolve this issue.

Misalignment of Long Text Strings

Long text strings, such as URLs, will be misaligned when the cursor is moved to the end of the string. We typically see this issue in the URL bar with long URLs.

This appears to be a bug in macOS Sonoma beta 5 and not strictly limited to Arc. Members who have reported this issue have been able to reproduce the issue on macOS Spotlight (โŒ˜-Space).

The issue has since been resolved in macOS Sonoma beta 6. Please update your Mac to in System Settings > General > Software Update to resolve this issue.

Known Issues and Workarounds

Performance Issues with the iCloud Passwords Extension

We've had multiple reports of the iCloud Passwords extension causing slowdowns on Arc running on the macOS Sonoma.

We have reached out to Apple about this. They have isolated the issue and are working on a fix.

Until a fix has been issued by Apple we suggest disabling the iCloud Passwords extension to mitigate the slowdowns you are experiencing. You can disable extensions by going to Extensions > Manage Extensions... in the Mac menu bar and toggling them off.

Favorites Disappearing when Sidebar is Hidden or Exiting Full Screen Video

Favorite Tabs will disappear from the Sidebar when the Sidebar is hidden (โŒ˜-S) or when exiting a full screen video while running Arc on the macOS Sonoma.

We have had reports that the Favorites will come back after hiding and showing the Sidebar (โŒ˜-S), switching to a new Space and back or after quitting and restarting Arc.

We have been unable to reproduce this issue as of Arc v1.7.0. Try updating to the latest version of Arc to resolve this issue.
