Arc is being sunset on December 22, 2026. After that date, you won't be able to sign in to or use Arc. Please note that we will deactivate all Arc accounts on December 22. Once an account is deactivated, we will delete user personal data associated with the account within 30 days. Not to worry! You can manage your Arc account from Arc for macOS and Windows until Arc is sunset on December 22, 2026. You can sign out, change your name or email address, and reset your password. Please note that new Arc accounts can no longer be created.
Can I create a new Arc account?
No. As of October 22, 2026, you can no longer create new Arc accounts. If you already have an Arc account, you can keep signing in and using Arc until December 22, 2026.
How do I sign out of my Arc account?
- On macOS, navigate to Arc > Sign Out in the Mac menu bar.
- On Windows, open the Arc menu and select Sign Out.
- In Arc Search for iOS, tap the Tab Switcher icon in the bottom-left corner, tap Settings (⚙️) in the bottom-right corner, tap Sync with Arc Desktop, then tap Sign Out.
Please note that signing in and syncing with Arc turn off in Arc Search for iOS and Android on November 23, 2026.
How do I change the name on my Arc account?
On macOS:
- Press Command + T, type Account Preferences, and press Return.
- Select the three dots menu (...) next to your email address.
- Select Change Name….
- Enter your new name and select Save.
On Windows:
- Open Arc's settings: press Control + Comma (,), or open the Arc menu and select Settings.
- Select Edit Account.
- Select Change Name.
- Enter your new name and select Save.
How do I change my Arc email address?
On macOS:

How do I reset my Arc password?
You can reset your Arc password from the Arc sign-in screen on macOS or Windows.
- Sign out of Arc. On macOS, navigate to Arc > Sign Out in the Mac menu bar. On Windows, open the Arc menu and select Sign Out.
- On the Arc sign-in screen, enter your email address.
- Select Forgot your password?.
- Follow the instructions in the email we send you to reset your password.
- Sign back in to Arc with your new password.
How do I delete my Arc account?
You can delete your Arc account at any time from Arc's account settings. We will deactivate all Arc accounts on December 22, 2026. Once an Arc account is deactivated, personal data related to the account is deleted within 30 days. For step-by-step instructions, read Delete My Arc Account.
