Arc's Commitment to Privacy
We love the internet, but we don't love when internet companies prioritize profit over privacy. That's why we built a browser to make the internet better, not make money off your personal data.
-
We don't know which websites you visit
-
We don't see what you type into the browser
-
We don't sell your data to third parties
What is Chromium and how does Arc use it?
Chromium is an open-source, secure, and reliable web-browser codebase. Arc for desktop is a Chromium-based browser.
Though Google maintains a lot of Chromium, being Chromium-based doesn't mean that we are Chrome or Google. We don't sell your data back to Google, we don't track your browsing for advertisement, and we don't have any affiliation with the company. We only use the parts of Chromium we need and most of our features are custom built.
