- If you'd prefer to turn off all Boost-related features, there's now a global toggle in Advanced Settings.

- Two Bug Fixes for Live Calendars: Freddy resolved an issue preventing members from joining calendar events directly from Google Calendar, and Ben fixed another issue that caused Live Calendar previews to freeze upon dismissal. Props to the team for the big updates to Live Calendars this week. Also, a very special thank you to our Early Birds who helped us diagnose a related issue!
- Downloads Performance Improvements: By making the downloads history page more responsive, Alex helped drive performance improvements for downloading large files, making the process more efficient and reliable, especially for videos.
- Support for macOS 12 is ending soon: After July 11th, Arc will no longer receive fixes or features on macOS 12. If this impacts you, we recommend updating your system to ensure your browser remains stable and secure. Kudos to Max for leading us through this transition.

- Updated Previews Menu in Settings: Alex has simplified the menu for selecting which Previews you can view in Arc, making it clearer and easier to use. You can find the new UI under Arc > Settings > General > Previews Settings.
- Dynamic Command Bar When Switching Spaces: The Command Bar, which previously remained static when switching Spaces, now updates dynamically when shifting to a new Space. Kudos to Alex for making it easier to find relevant Command Bar queries while in the Space of your choice.
- Join Active Meetings with Control + Command + J: On the heels of last week’s Live Calendars launch, Jasdev has enabled you to use Control + Command + J to join an active meeting from your calendar. That means the next time your Live Calendar notifies you to join a meeting, Control + Command + J will take you there with an easy click (note: if you’d like, you can remap this shortcut in Settings). If you use Google Calendar, be sure to pin it to your Favorites and try Live Calendars today!
- Switch to Arc Sync Today: We’re saying goodbye to iCloud Sync and replacing it with Arc Sync. Navigate to Arc > Settings today and turn on our new and improved sync for a better experience.

- Live Calendars: Now, when Google Calendar is pinned as a favorite in your Sidebar, you’ll be able to see your upcoming meetings at a glance. When it’s time for the meeting to start, a “Join” button will automatically appear in your Sidebar — allowing you to jump into your next video call with one click. To change your Live Calendar’s updates, just right-click the calendar icon and adjust its settings. Huge shoutout to Ben and Connor for bringing your Sidebar to life with this feature!
- Phasing Out Instant Links Edu: When you search using the Command Bar, you’ll no longer see the Shift+Enter icons indicating the shortcut for the Instant Links feature. But don’t worry! You can still use the feature by clicking Shift+Enter after typing your query — immediately taking you to the first link at the top of your Google search. Props to Rishi for simplifying Arc’s UI.
- Improved Favicon Caching for Synced Tabs: Props to Andrzej for resolving an issue that caused mobile favicons to sometimes disappear after restarting the app. Now, when you pin a tab on Arc Search, you’ll see the mobile favicons alongside your desktop tabs every time.

- Enhanced Arc Sync Copy & UX: Andrzej has made enabling Arc Sync even easier with improved copy and more streamlined UX. Head to Arc > Settings > General to turn on our new-and-improved encrypted Sync. As a reminder, we’ll be saying goodbye to our legacy iCloud Sync functionality in the coming months.
- Chromium Reader Mode Removal: Following Chromium’s official deprecation of Reader Mode, Mateusz removed our beta version of the feature from Arc.
- Easy Access for Full Page Capture: Thanks to a suggestion from an offsite panelist, and an update from Jasdev, we’ve made Portrait Mode for full-page captures even easier. Just hold “Option” while clicking the “Capture the full page” button in the Site Control Center (located in the URL bar). Also, if you’re in Developer Mode, holding “Option” while clicking the Portrait Mode button now captures with default settings to avoid an extra step.

- Introducing Auto Updates: Arc can now update itself automatically while your computer is idle—such as when your screensaver is active or when your screen is locked. Additionally, updates won't occur if you have active media playing; instead, they'll be rescheduled for later.
- Sleeker Update Banner: Update notifications now start in a collapsed form, freeing up your screen space. Simply hover over them to see the full banner and access a new gradient button. We've also reduced the Auto Update request process to a single step.
- Session Restoration Update: Arc now restores the browsing state upon restarting for all users. This eliminates the need to manually reopen tabs from previous session, allowing for a more seamless experience.
- Auto-Archive EDU: New members will now see a banner — displayed once — introducing the Auto Archive feature, letting them know that inactive tabs have been automatically archived for better organization.

- When dragging a tab to create a Split View in the Pinned section, we now keep your Split Tab in place, rather than moving it to the Today section.

As a heads up, we'll be phasing out old iCloud sync in the coming weeks (with plenty of notice!).
- Introducing Tidy Tabs, our latest Arc Max feature. Press the broom icon at the top of your Today Tabs to let your sidebar organize itself!
- Introducing Instant Links! Browse more quickly, by pressing Search + Shift for any query in your command bar to immediately open the top results.Turn on Instant Links by heading to Arc Settings > Arc Max > Instant Links.

- Google Meet "Share This Tab Instead" is here! While screen-sharing a tab in Meet, a new button will appear directly on your Sidebar tabs to quickly switch which tab is shared instead.
- Skin Tones are now available in our emoji picker for Space / Tab Icons!
- Easily hide your sidebar by dragging the width of your sidebar all the way to the left to collapse it completely.
- We've removed the "Capture" icon on Easel tabs to clean up our UX. To Capture from anywhere, just hit CMD T and type "Capture" or hit CMD SHIFT 2.

- Turn Peeks into Split Views by hitting the Split button next to your Peek Window.

- We've removed the "Share" button from Space headers. You can share a Space by right clicking on your Space title or hitting the paint brush icon.
