Arc is being sunset on December 22, 2026. After that date, you won't be able to sign in to or use Arc. Please note that we will deactivate all Arc accounts on December 22. Once an account is deactivated, we will delete user personal data associated with the account within 30 days. Not to worry! You can save your Spaces, tabs and Easels from Arc before it's sunset on December 22, 2026. If you're moving to Dia, you don't need to export your Spaces and tabs. Dia brings them over straight from Arc.
I'm moving to Dia. Do I need to export my tabs?
No. Dia imports your Spaces, Favorites, pinned tabs and folders straight from Arc in just a few clicks, so you don't need to export anything first. To learn how, read Move from Arc to Dia.
How do I export my Spaces and tabs from Arc?
On macOS:
- Navigate to Arc > Settings in the Mac menu bar.
- Select Advanced.
- Select Export Data.
- Choose where to save the file, then select Save.
On Windows:
- Open Arc's settings: press Control + Comma (,), or open the Arc menu and select Settings.
- In the Advanced section, find Export Spaces and tabs and select Export Data.
- Choose where to save the file, then select Save.
Arc saves a file named Arc Data Export.md. It has a section for each Space, listing your Favorites, pinned tabs, folders and other sidebar tabs as links.
How do I use my exported tabs in another browser?
Your export is a list of links rather than a bookmarks file, so you'll add the links to your new browser yourself. Open Arc Data Export.md in any text editor, then open or bookmark the links you'd like to keep.
Can I copy the links from just one folder?
Yes. Right-click a folder in your sidebar and select Copy All Links, then paste the links wherever you'd like. On macOS, you can also hold Option while the menu is open and select Copy All Links as Markdown to keep the link titles.
How do I save my Easels?
Easels are stored with your Arc account, so you won't be able to get to them after Arc is sunset, and they don't come over to Dia. To keep an Easel, open it, select the Share icon in the bottom-right corner, then select Share Via… to save it as a PNG image.
Can I save my Boosts?
No. Boosts can't be exported from Arc, and they don't come over to Dia. Please note that you won't be able to get to your Boosts after Arc is sunset.
