Introducing Auto Archive: let Arc clean up for you! Tabs that haven't been touched after 12 hours (change the timing in preferences!) are now stored in Archive. View and restore archived tabs by clicking the clock icon at the bottom of the sidebar.

Introducing the Arc Audio Player! Start playing Spotify or any music streaming platform in your browser. If you switch to another tab while audio is on, we'll add the Mini Audio Player to the bottom of your sidebar. Play, pause, or go to the next song from anywhere in Arc. Happy listening!

The sidebar is now expandable! Hover over the sidebar's edge and drag to expand. Double click the edge to reset back to default width.

Mini Player can now be turned off more easily. Just click on the three dots in the corner of the Mini Player to disable it for the day or indefinitely for that site. You can turn Mini Player back on by clicking the lock icon in the URL bar of any site to change its settings.

Watch videos while you browse! Arc now has a Mini Player. If youβre on a tab that's playing video, we'll keep that video playing in the corner of your window as you switch tabs. If you want to turn off the Mini Player for that tab, just deselect Picture in Picture in site settings (site settings can be accessed via the small lock next to your siteβs URL).

Weβve updated the visuals for Resetting a Pinned Tab. Now you can reset a Pinned Tab by clicking its icon. We've also made it more clear when youβve navigated away from your originally pinned URL.

Little Arc! We've added a small, simple window for quick searches or references so you can look something up without disrupting your workflow. External links will open in Little Arc windows by default, or you can create a new Little Arc Window with Option β N.

Tab Syncing Across Devices! Go to Arc > Preferences (or CMD E... Preferences) and turn on "Keep Sidebar in sync via iCloud". This will sync all of your sidebar tabs (explore & pinned) but wont sync passwords / browsing history. Your sidebar will sync to the state of the last device you used.

You can now turn off Tab Previews that you don't use or need. You can do this through Arc > Preferences (or CMD E... Preferences).

Rip a tab off the sidebar to move it to a new window! Just drag a tab out of the current Arc window and we'll create a new window for you.

Incognito mode! Hit CMD E β¦ New Incognito Window (or CMD SHIFT N). Incognito windows do not track any browsing history or let you access any of your spaces. Incognito windows are black and have an "Incognito" label in the upper right hand corner.

Notes are much faster, 100% native, and have a fresh coat of paint. Oh, and they support markdown! You can still access notes you've created before, but they wont be editable anymore. If youβd like to keep working on them, copy and paste them over into a new note.

Support for undoing an action via Command+z! Any time you customize a List or Tab, move Tabs in your sidebar or clear your Explore section, simply press Command+z to undo that action.

Lists can now have background images! We've packaged a few that look great, but you can also add your own. Simply right-click the list, select Theme, and go from there.

We made it easier to dive into a List! Click anywhere on the list title to enter. If you'd rather expand or collapse the list inline, click the ">" icon.

Files & Folders
You can now import files and folders from Finder into Arc by dragging them into the sidebar, or clicking the β button in the sidebar header.
Files and Folders can be moved around just like regular tabs! You can expand folders directly in the sidebar to see the files within.
Files can be opened in split view, or you can drag them directly into websites to upload them (e.g upload to Gmail/Slack).

Improved Sidebar
We've got a bunch of improvements on this front. Notably:

The bottom "unpinned" section is now directly below your Pinned tabs so they are easier to access. We're now calling this unpinned section "Explore".

We've removed the date grouping from the Explore section.

You can now collapse your Pinned Tabs.
-
To create a List or pinned Note, click the "+" icon next to the "Home" header.
-
Selecting a Tab with your mouse is now much faster.
We've also given the context menus for Tabs and Lists a refresh, including the ability to move Tabs to an Explore section on a different list!
Misc. Improvements

You can now easily reset a Pinned Tab back to it's original URL!

We updated our List colors! Feel free to change them by right-clicking on the List and choosing Color and Icon.

If you've always allowed Zoom to open, we no longer open a stray tab when joining a meeting.

It's now easier to navigate directly to a domain.

If you notice any issues with the Command Bar, you can include debug information to us via the Feedback / Bug Reporter. Just check the box to help us improve Search.

The Command Bar got a fresh coat of paint. Itβs also now centered in the middle of the window, making it much easier to use when you have your sidebar hidden.

Speaking of the Command Bar β weβve removed those pesky Recent Tabs at the top of the window, and moved them into the Command Bar. The keyboard shortcuts for these (ctrl+tab & ctrl+shift+tab) still work.

The Split View has been rewritten from the ground up, allowing for a more interactive experience when dragging tabs to Split View panes. Pro tip: try dragging a link on a page to a new pane π₯

Want to quickly see the sidebar? Simply press option. Want to turn that off? You can in Preferences!
Finally, weβve fixed up those wonky tab issues when trying to login to a site from a pinned tab.

Now, when you are in List Focus Mode, we'll slightly tint Arc's window to make it more clear that you are in List Focus Mode.
